Membership
Overview

Membership is open to anyone who is interested in the Project Management Profession - no qualifications or experience is required. You do not have to be certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) in order to join PMI - that is a separate step usually undertaken later.

To become a member of the WA Chapter one must also be a fully paid up member of PMI.

Costs involved with an individual WA Chapter membership include:

  • $119.00 US annual PMI membership fee
  • $10.00 US new member application fee
  • $50.00 US annual WA Chapter membership fee

 

How To Join

To join the WA Chapter online using a credit card please click here and fill out a secure online membership application. Please remember to nominate the Western Australia Chapter (and Special Interest Groups if interested) in the component fees area of the form.

Joining the WA Chapter offers some additional benefits to the general PMI benefits:

  • Discounted fee for attending monthly chapter meetings - The main theme in each meeting is a presentation on a topical aspect of project management. Click here to view the recent topics covered.
  • PMI Library – The WA chapter has a comprehensive library of project management publications. These are available for loan to members by arrangement. The library is currently located at West Perth, please contact Graham Colborne via email or at a chapter meeting if you would like to borrow anything off the list.
  • Discounted fee for professional development workshops - These vary in topics to focus on educating and enhancing skills of Project Managers. They also allow Project Management Professionals to gain valuable Professional Development Units (PDUs) to retain their PMP certification.
