5. PMP® Certification Program Prerequisites

Although, there are no prerequisites for the PMP® Certification Preparation Training Program, however the prerequisites set out for the PMP® Examination by PMI must be met before permission will be granted for an examination sitting.

Completing the PMI® WA Chapter's PMP® Certification Program is not a prerequisite for the examination. Enquiries to Certification Director.

6. About the Format of the PMP Exam

The PMP® Certification Exam format, as provided in Perth, is a paper-based exam that comprises 200 multiple-choice questions that are to be completed over a maximum of four hours.

The exam questions are weighted using a criterion-referenced approach known as the Angoff Modified Technique, hence there is no specific number of questions that can be advertised as a passing number. The examination is passed when the standard error of mean reference, applied to the criterion-referenced factor, is exceeded.
